Public launderettes are slowly disappearing from London streets, experts claim.

With more Londoners buying their own washing machines, these community services are becoming scarce.

On the flip side, the lack of competition, due to those that have closed down in the area, is helping some launderette owners. Others have opted for a newer approach like incorporating additional services for the customer.
