One of the London candidates in this week’s European Parliament election is a medium and his forecast of the result doesn’t include a seat for himself or Labour.
Graham Dare, 55, second candidate for the English Democrats, forecasts just 18 per cent of the electorate voted and says the Conservatives, Liberal Democrats and UK Independence Party will get two seats each out of London’s eight.
The spirits tell Dare that the remaining London seats will be assigned to the British National Party and the English Democrats. Labour get none. The results will be declared on Sunday night.
Dare claims to be the UK’s number one medium and runs a business supplying clairvoyants and tarot card readers for parties spiritual healer.
“By far the Labour Party has lost more votes than the other parties at these elections. Conservatives will effectively be the winner,” he said.
The medium, who says he has not been sick since 1975 thanks to his gift of healing, got involved in politics with the English Democrats after being a local councillor on Croydon Council until 2002.
“People are fed up with the political system,” he said.
Commenting on the good result for UKIP, he said: “They have done fairly well in terms of their publicity”.
